Mocktails, Me Time & Less Stress

When was the last time you spent a night with friends to blow off steam and exchanged cocktails & complaining for mocktails & me time?

Our Project We Society Members did exactly that this month.  And it was a fantastic time! You don’t need wine & whining to have a stress releasing night with friends. There’s more to life, for sure.

One of the self-care topics that our PWS Members asked for this year was to have less actual stress and more stress management tools. In response, one unique exclusive experience we created (& loved!) was an early Saturday night member gathering that we called ‘Mocktails & Me Time’.

This was a fun combination of stress management, social health & creativity time with a hint of herbalism thrown in. Independently, these 4 interests are so beneficial, imagine what happens when they’re all combined?  Exactly … magic!

There are several reasons why this experience was a success, but today we’d like to highlight 2 elements that were important.  The benefits of herbal properties of Tulsi & an amazing holistic stress management tool.  Read on!

Tulsi Tea for Stress & Anxiety

The world is opening itself up to learning more about the benefits of herbal or medicinal plants for personal wellness.  Since our Founder is an Herbalist, we fully support using plants & herbs sustainably and responsibly for everyday wellness.

One commonly known herb for people to explore is called Holy Basil, also known as Tulsi.  We used Organic Tulsi Tea as one of the main Mocktail ingredients for our recent ‘Mocktails & Me Time’ member experience.  In fact, the Tulsi was grown from our very own 2023 community garden. It had such beautiful energy!

Tulsi is what is called an adaptogenic herb, meaning that it has the energetic knowledge to adapt to managing various degrees of stress throughout the body in a multitude of ways.

Tulsi is a beautiful, easily grown herb that can be used to reduce stress & anxiety, maintain a healthy blood pressure, can be a go-to for viral & fungal infections, physical discomfort, ulcers, depression, colds & flus, herpes virus, and more.

It’s delicious as a hot or cold tea and was a beautiful centerpiece to our Rosy Tulsi-tini Herbal Mocktail.  (Recipe credit to Herbal Academy International School of Herbal Arts & Sciences.)

Managing Stress Holistically

We enjoyed so many fun & relaxing activities during our ‘Mocktails & Me Time’ gathering.  In the end, do you know what was the biggest stress management tool of all?   If you guessed the time spent together exchanging human energy…you are absolutely correct!

There is no better way to manage stress in our lives than to be sharing space with other women who we enjoy. Personal connection amongst like-minded women is a powerful, invaluable stress reliever. Feelings of trust, safety, and comfort lower the body’s stress-related responses holistically.
